Read at the Show

Read at the Show functions as a specific type of imprint publisher/publishing service. We offer editorial and print services to up-and-coming writers looking for a bit of direction. The company offers discounted-rate editing, discounted-rate printing, cover design consultation, feedback on manuscripts, layout, design, plot consultation, as well as marketing strategies and producing ancillary materials. If you have a question about any services offered, email ReadattheShow@gmail.com

I know publishing your writing can be a jungle…and an expensive jungle at that. Our services are all priced so that, if you have a part-time job, you can print at least 50-100 copies of your book. We use a network of young artists, friends, teachers, etc to help writers through their process. We also used established print houses and editing services to help out. Don’t hesitate to ask anything about publishing or about what we can offer!

Of recent, in addition to my own writing, I want to discover talented people who might be keeping their works hidden in notebooks or on private blogs (much like I did because I didn’t think an audience existed). This is not a stuffy company, nor is it meant to be traditional. We are looking to have a presence at music festivals, local art shows, and, most importantly, independent bookstores.

Lastly, it doesn’t matter what you’re writing. I’ve talked with writers who have done travel blogs, cookbooks, graphic novels, and every genre under the sun…from romance to sci-fi. I’m just interested in finding young people with a voice calling out to be heard.
